Long before Khampa had a name for it, nomads of Eastern Tibet were knotting peonies into wool — a cushion by day, a bed by night, carried across the plateau. The back print is that peony of Khampa: coral blooms and painted stems, a flower that began as a herder's seat and became, a century later, a quiet blueprint of modern design.
